The Salvation Army needs you! The Salvation Army has one of the lowest administrative cost structures, with 82 cents on every dollar donated going right by to the communities we serve. In order to achieve this, The Salvation Army of Chico operates with a small operational staff, and rely on the generous volunteers of our community. Did you know, the Salvation Army was originally dubbed the Volunteer Army, based on the sheer volume of volunteers that were involved in helping the organization serve its local communities?
